With Peppermint Kisses

I hope your Christmas was wonderful. We had a little miracle of our own this holiday season I would rather not get into on here. I will say I felt as if we were very blessed this year. Enjoy the picture from todays snowfall.

Memoirs Of A Zombie Geisha

We started what will be a magnificent Zombie Geisha. A geisha that's a zombie. Calvin kept saying"that bitch is dead".... or is it undead? She is going to be so awesome when its done. Its always a delight to have some new ink. Im well on my way to being done with the lower right leg, which makes me happy. Im going to be the most bad ass soccer mom on the field.

I dont have any complaints about Calvins work. Every place where it is messed up its my fault for not taking care of it properly. Not that I jacked up his work, but I did accidentally pull some of the ink off of my foot, and off the calico koi. This is because I allowed it to scab in places when I should not have. But I kept up on the geisha, so no more mishaps that he will have to fix. Which is good, less work for him.

Anyway. You know the song and dance. Tattoos by Calvin, Blue Collar Art Company Midland Texas.

Trophy Queen Purse

My purse Came! Its better than Christmas.

Shiny vinyl on top, sparkly metallic flake on the bottom.

Trophy Queen. The Coach of rockabilly purses.

This is what the lining looks like. I think I have to agree with Little Rachel and say a cool lining makes the purse. Fuzzy leopard print.

And the zipper has a dice toggle. Im feeling all Vegas.

Jealous? Call Kat Ballou's!

Getting things ready for the new home

My husband (how great it is to say that, my husband) and I are in the process of buying our first home. We don't close until the beginning part of December, but I figure its not to early to think about making it cozy. I ordered a custom painting from a local artist, Molly Swanson, in colors complementary to a coffee cup I have. That cup is acting as color inspiration for the new kitchen. I think its going to look really good mingling with our other coffee inspired wall art. I will be sure to find it a good place to live. Maybe somewhere where the sunlight will hit it and bring out the metallic paint she used.

It was delivered in a brown paper bag with a cute hand stamped label. I love little details like that. How delightfully thoughtful and creative.

Its hard to tell but the background colors are metallic, as well as the swirls inside the mug and the steam swirls. Molly posted some good pictures of it on her blog this morning that show it in better detail. http://specsandwings.blogspot.com/. You should go over and check it out, and with the holidays coming up maybe you know someone who would like to receive one of these cool paintings. She has all her contact info up if your interested. And she also makes reusable coffee sleeves that I love! If I was sure which box I packed mine in I would take pictures of it for you. They are great, especially if your the type of person who drinks at least seven drinks from Starbucks a week. Think about how much paper you would be saving if you used a fashionable sleeve instead of cardboard?

Thanks for taking time to check it out.
